The first track of the single, "Valleys of Neptune," is the familiar composite mix also found on the "Valleys of Neptune" album. The true gem of this release is "Peace in Mississippi," a seven-minute heavy metal excursion based on the song(s) "Midnight (Lightning)," released (mostly) complete and unedited for the first time - as opposed to the version released on the "Voodoo Soup" CD, which was drastically reduced and drenched in echo, and that on the old LP "Crash Landing," which had the backing musicians removed and replaced by session musicians who never knew Hendrix.
