JIMI is the ultimate tribute to the greatest guitar player in rock and roll history, celebrating what would have been Jimi Hendrix's 80th birthday on November 8, 2022. This comprehensive visual celebration is an official collaboration with Jimi's sister, Janie Hendrix, and John McDermott of Experience Hendrix L.L.C. JIMI significantly expands on the authors' previously published titles, including An Illustrated Experience, and features a new introduction by Janie, extensive biographical texts, and a trove of lesser known and never-before-published photographs, personal memorabilia, lyrics, and more. Additionally, JIMI includes quotations by legendary musicians, such as Paul McCartney, Ron Wood, Jeff Beck, Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton, Drake, Dave Grohl, and others who have spoken about Hendrix's lasting influence.
In the four years before his untimely death at age 27, Jimi Hendrix created a groundbreaking musical legacy, one that includes revered classics such as "Purple Haze" and "Voodoo Child." His signature guitar playing, provocative songwriting, and charismatic performances have continued to inspire legions of musicians and fans alike.

I received my book in a timely and a secure manner, no damage to the book itself. Beautifully crafted book, worth every penny I spent Jimi would be proud of his sister's hard work along with the writer. I have not had a chance to read the entire book yet, what I have started is intriguing, mind captivating and very genuine to say the least. The photos of his roots from birth to manhood and of his family tree is awesome. I can't say enough good things to say about this book and I'm so glad to see Janie and Family of Jimi Hendrix the greatest guitar player of all time to receive all accolades from a true American Icon due respect.

Very impressive. A big, colorful and insightful look at Jimi through his brief but spectacular career. Written by the sibling who has steered the Hendrix ship well on course for decades and co-authored by John McDermitt, a seasoned pro writer and long time Hendrix archivist. Not to be missed.

Very Good Book. As a 66 year old lifetime Hendrix fan who has every album, CD, poster, T-Shirt, book, etc, and who had a class in high school from one of Jimi's teachers at Garfield and spent hours after class talking about Jimi... I was taken aback by the first section written by Janie about Racism in Jimi's life. I won't address it any further here but I see why many people are not fans of Janie... nuff said here. Jimi is the greatest and most creative guitarist of all time... who has influenced all the other great guitarist whether they admit it on not! Jimi "When I die, I want people to play my music, go wild and freak out and do anything they want to do.”

Hello! Thank you for the opportunity to ask a question. Can you please explain what happened to the Electric Lady boxed set that ended up being withdrawn? It was advertised with photos of its contents and was being offered on Amazon. Is it still being planned for release? Thank you for a response.

Janie, thank you for what you have done for Jimi. Without you, Jimis music would have lived on as it will never be obsolete but with your wonderful direction and effort you have made sure that Jimi will remain "out there" basically forever which is what he deserves and his music deserves. All of the information and photos you have given us would never have been published without you. You have given us much insight on Jimi. I'm sure that in Heaven, Jimi is smiling down on you. I greatly appreciate you for giving us much more on Jimi.

Hard to believe that the greatest guitarist that ever lived would have this happening to his legacy. Come on! Get this going and release the RAH concerts. What it all comes down to is the almighty dollar and I believe that all parties involved will break even.
